Jim is a former creative lead at Sapient, a 2,000-person digital agency and consultancy with offices around the globe. He is our primary brand consultant and writer. Past clients include 3M, Abbott, Advocate Health Care, Alcoa, BP, Eli Lilly, Fonterra North America, HD Supply, Kerry Ingredients & Flavours, McDonald's Corporation, Miller Brewing Co., Nalco Company, Sarah Lee, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and Tate & Lyle.
Outside of work, Jim serves on the board of his daughters’ Catholic school, drops in at the local maker space whenever he gets a Tuesday evening free, bakes and blogs about it. He is also an avid doodler.
JASON CALDEIRA /// PRINCIPAL + DESIGN DIRECTOR
Jason is an award-winning designer and art director with 20 years’ design experience in both digital and traditional applications, including brand development, marketing, multi-media and web design. His experience ranges from Oprah Winfrey and Toyota/Scion to small area boutiques and independent retailers.
When not in full-on designer mode, Jason is also a performing musician, a proud father of two, a lover of all things Apple, and a dedicated locavore. He also makes a mean cuppa Joe.
KATY MILLER /// DIGITAL DIRECTOR
Katy has more than a decade of experience in the digital marketing world, having taken several national brands from ground zero to award-winning interactive experiences. She has served as a digital director for Atria Senior Living, Mortenson Dental Partners, Louisville Ladder, Grupo Cuprum and several large restaurant chains.
COURTNEY SANDORA /// SOCIAL MEDIA
Courtney is the founder of Go Social, a Louisville-based communications agency specializing in social media. Like other members of Nerve Collective, she has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry. Courtney has worked with national and global brands, managing social media presences across all major networks. National account experience includes Southern Comfort, Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur, Fetzer Vineyards and Bonterra Wines as well as craft spirit brands Old Forge Moonshine and Mako Vodka.
LAURA CATHCART /// PROJECT MANAGER
A former art producer at Draft Worldwide where she worked on the CVS, State Farm, P&G and Jack Daniels Accounts, Laura spent ten years in artist and client relations at Threadless, helping to grow them from an obscure t-shirt startup into an internationally known apparel and design brand. Ask her what her core skill is and she’ll tell you it’s multi-tasking (we’ll tell you it’s her ability to dive in and take control of any situation — and do it with a smile).
Outside of work she’s interested in interior design and those eco-friendly tiny houses. Oh and be warned: she’s a hugger.

Design is problem solving in visual form. Visual branding and identity are our specialties, as is digital design (we take particular pride in our ability to craft elegant and intuitive web and mobile experiences). We also have long history in print and packaging.
Nerve digital services are all about deploying the brand experiences we create. We do that via websites, microsites and apps, as well as through email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM) and social media campaigns. We also offer search engine optimization (SEO) and analytics (because we measure everything we do). We can also do custom coding depending on the need.
